Phyllis J. (Tutterow) Rotino, age 76 passed away
Monday morning, January 23, 2012 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital
in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin and former resident of
Nashville.
Phyllis was born November 11, 1935 in Brown County
to the late John H. and M. Dolores (Gee) Tutterow. She
married William "Joe" Rotino on July 4, 1958 at the Unionville
Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2007,
after 48 years.
Phyllis was a 1954 graduate of Helmsburg High
School and went on to attend Indiana University in
Bloomington. She retired from her secretarial position from
Griffith Motor Express in Bloomington in 1983, after 28 years of
service.
Phyllis was a member of the Bear Creek Church in
Brown County where she was a past Trustee and the Morgantown
Eastern Star.
Phyllis enjoyed walking in the woods, sewing, home
decorating, and dancing. She was loved by many but only a special
few got to call her mother, mamal, sister, aunt and friend.
Phyllis will be missed by her three daughters:
Diana J. Turner of Franklin, Alice R. Rotino of Bloomington &
Margee L. (Tony) Smalling of Port Charlotte, FL; three sons:
William "Bill" J. Rotino II of Indianapolis, Phillip Rotino
of Brown County & Kevin G. Rotino of Trafalgar; two sisters:
Marilyn Rotino of Spencer & Joyce Blanks of Solsberry. She will
be remembered by her 10 grandchildren: Joshua Turner, Rachel
Sizemore, Krystal Doughty, Courtney Wentworth, Charlotte Mosley,
Morgan Lambert, Alicia & Nathan Rotino, Nickolas & Wesley
Smalling; 15 great-grandchildren: Caleb, Haley, Kemp, Makala,
Savannah, Alyssa, Kaelee, Bella, Lucy, Kaylynn, Layla, Lillyona,
Kennedy, Athena & Harley.
She was preceded in death by two sisters:
Margilyne Williamson & Alice Long and one brother: Billy
Tutterow.
Phyllis's niece, Vicki Carmichael will conduct a
funeral service 1 pm Wednesday at Meredith -Clark Funeral Home
Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in
Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 am till service time on
Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bear Creek
Cemetery in Brown County.
