Patricia Ann (Steele) Horton, age 73 passed away Tuesday evening, September 13, 2011 at the Franklin United Methodist Community.  She was life long resident of Morgantown.

Pat was born March 12, 1938 in Morgantown to the late Harry F. & Myrl (Downey) Steele.  She married M. James "Jim" Horton on June 23, 1957 in Morgantown.  He preceded her in death on March 3, 2011 after 53 loving years.

Pat was the mother to Melanie Horton of Denver, Co and Stefanie (husband, Travis) Rutledge of Farmland and one grandson:  Justin Wilson of Farmland.

She was a 1956 graduate of Morgantown High School and went on receive her degree in Business from the Indiana Business College in 1957.  Pat was a loving wife, devoted mother and homemaker.  She was a 50 year member of the First Christian Church of Morgantown, 50 year member of the Morgantown Order of Eastern Star #579, charter member of the Morgan County History & Genalogy Association and member of the Kappa Kappa Kappa XI Chapter (Inactive) of Morgantown.  Pat enjoyed working crossword puzzles and reading mystery novels.

The Rev. Burt Brock will conduct a funeral service at noon on Saturday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.  Friends may call from 11:00 am Saturday till service time at the funeral home.  Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.

Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Pat to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 3500 Depaw Blvd., Suite 1040, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
