Service Date:The Rev. Roy Ice will conduct a funeral service at 10 am Monday at the Morgantown United Methodist Church ,20 E. Washington St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 2 to 6 pm on Sunday at the church. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. The Morgantown Order of Eastern Star will conduct a Memorial service at 5:30 pm on Sunday at the church.

Norma Jean (Love) Phillips, age 79 passed away Wednesday evening,August 3, 2011at Kindred Nursing Home in Greenwood. She was a resident of morgantown and former resident of Bethel, Conn.

 Norma was born February 8, 1932 in Southport to the late James E. and Margaret Ruth (Crouch) Love.  She married her loving husband of 55 years, George M. Phillips onJanuary 8, 1956inActon.  He survives. Norma was a 1951 graduate of Johnson County High School.

 She was a loving homemaker and mother to: two daughters: Jean E. Arti of  Chambersburg, PA, and Ruth A. (husband, Kevin) Bodnar of Bethlehem, Conn; one son: Paul H. Phillips of Florence, SC.  She will be remembered by her three sisters: Joan Love of Indianapolis, Wilma Weaver of Boggstown and Waneta S. Barrow of Decaturville, TN; 6 grandchildren: Zachary, Jason, Jessica, Kimberly, Gabriella & Becca.

 She was preceded in death by one sister: Janet M. Kloepfer and one brother: Ronald L. Love.

 Norma was a member of the Morgantown United Methodist Church and former member of the Bethel United Methodist Churchin Bethel,Conn. where she was the Church Secretary and Children's Choir Director 1981 to 1992.  Other memberships include the Beech Grove & Morgantown Order of the Eastern Star, American Guild of Organist, Hummin - Strummers Folk Group & the Dulcimer Plus Group. Norma enjoyed singing and playing the organ in several churches for more than 13 years. She also enjoyed teaching piano lessons, sewing, reading and gardening.
