Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown with military graveside rites presented by the Martinsville American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guards. |
Michael J. Adams, age 53 passed away unexpectedly
Tuesday evening, July 10, 2012 at the Columbus Regional Hospital.
He was a resident of Edinburgh.
Mike was born August 26, 1958 in Beech Grove to
his parents: Billy J. & Carolyn S. (Carrico) Adams of
Morgantown. He married Cindy J. (Sprigle) Adams on June 14, 2003 in
Edinburgh. She lovingly survives.
Mike was raised in Morgantown and went on to serve
as a Boiler Tech on the USS Cochrane with the United States Navy
from 1975 to 1979. He has worked for the past 5 years as a server
& greeter at the House of All Ranks at Camp Atterbury in
Edinburgh. Prior to that, Mike worked as a CNC Programmer for
Kawneer in Franklin for 22 years.
Mike enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, mushroom
hunting and tending to his vegetable garden. He was a fan of the
Indianapolis Colts and NASCAR with his favorite driver being Jeff
Gordon. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog
"Bear."
Mike is survived by his wife; parents; children:
Lindy B. Adams of Valparaiso & Staff SGT. Eric R. (wife, Megan)
Adams of Ft. Jackson, SC; grandson: Alex B. Adams of Ft. Jackson,
SC. He will be remembered by his two sisters: Donna (Jerry) Schmidt
of Shoals & Tonya (Jack) Jones of Trafalgar; one brother: Mark
Adams of Bargersville; stepchildren: Amy Jo Hyatt of Edinburgh,
Sandy (James) Wilson of Trafalgar, Teresa (Gary) Tague of
Indianapolis & Richard (Kathy) Mullins of Edinburgh; and 12
step grandchildren.
