Mary M. (Noel) Bradley, age 94 passed away Saturday morning,
February 12, 2011 at the Franklin Meadows and Convalescent Center.
She was a former resident of Trafalgar.
Mary was born Mar. 31, 1916, in Owen County, to the late Cecil and
Anna (McIntosh) Noel. She married Scott E. Bradley on August 6,
1932 in Martinsville. He preceded her in death on March 27,
1987.
Mary was the loving mother and homemaker to a son: Lester "Bud"
Bradley of Greenwood; two granddaughters: Sherry (Robert) West and
Linda (Britt) Dickerson both of Morgantown and grandson: Jon (Jan)
Bradley of Greenwood. She will be missed by her sister: Lois
Bullock of Shelbyville and three great-grandchildren: Rachel &
Amanda Dickerson and Jill Bradley.
Mary was preceded in death by a sister: Erenstine Burns & five
brothers: Maxwell, Winfred, Wilford, Wesley & Chester
Noel.
She worked as a seamstress for Vyrant Mills in Franklin for 15
years during the 40's & 50's and also clerked at Murphy's Five
& Dime in Franklin.
Mary was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church in Trafalgar.
She square danced in her early years, enjoyed raising chickens,
gathering and selling the eggs. Mary loved to quilt and was well
known for her quilts. Having her grandchildren around her playing
games and other activities was her greatest joy.
The Rev. James Piano will conduct a funeral service at 10:30 a.m.
on Wednesday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home, 179 E. Mulberry
Street, Morgantown. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the
funeral home. Burial will be at First Mt. Pleasant Franklin.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's honor to the
"Activities Fund" at Franklin Meadows, 1285 West Jefferson Street,
Franklin, IN 46131
