Mary Lou (Uppenkamp) Gardner, age 70 passed away Sunday
afternoon, July 11, 2010 at her residence in Trafalgar. She was a
former resident of West Liberty, Ohio.
Mary Lou was born May 3, 1940 in Botkins, Ohio to the late Aloys
and Cora C. (Schumacher) Uppenkamp.
She received an associate's degree in Information Systems from Ohio
State College. Mary Lou retired in 2006 after 10 years of service
with Honda of America in West Liberty, OH, and had previously
worked for Harpers Printing in Columbus, OH for several
years.
Mary Lou is survived by her loving children: Lois Ann Snider of New
Carlisle, OH, George A. Koch of Apopka, FL & Harry Lee Koch of
Little Rock, AR. Mary Lou will be remembered and cherished by her
eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Constance M. Gardner; two
brothers: Richard & Thomas Uppenkamp; and a
great-granddaughter: Maria Y. Giron.
Mary Lou was a longtime member of the Marysville Eagles Lodge &
the Marysville Moose Lodge, where she was a past madam
president.
Mary Lou enjoyed making crafts, traveling, reading and spending
time with her family. Her true passion was raising Dachshunds.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted by her family at
Mary Lou's home at 4 pm Tuesday at 6458 South 25 West in Trafalgar,
IN 46181.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mary Lou to the
Johnson County Humane Society, 3827 N Graham Rd, Franklin, IN
46131.
