Mary D. (Meador) Law age 96 went home to be with the Lord on
Friday evening, December 24, 2010 at the Morgantown Health Care
Inn. She was a resident of Trafalgar.
Mary was born June 16, 1914 in Scottsville, KY to the late Fletcher
and Florence (Sullivan) Meador. She married her caring and devoted
husband Rory V. Law on February 1, 1931 in Scottsville, KY. He
preceded her in death after 63 loving years on February 24,
1994
Mary is survived by one son: Talmage (wife Betty) Law of Trafalgar;
one sister: Christine Brown of Scottsville, KY; four grandchildren:
Tina Sawyer of Brown County, Tammy (husband Eddie) Chaney of
Trafalgar, Tom Law of Trafalgar & Aaron (wife Beverly) Law of
Morgantown; five great grandchildren & four great-great
grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by five sisters: Clarice Woodard, Eunice
Gilliam, Lois Jones, Eula Meador & Laura Law; six brothers:
Buel, Raymond, Wilbert, Carlene, Earl & Melvin Meador.
Mary was a loving wife, mother and homemaker and was a member of
the Bean Blossom Baptist Church in Brown County. She enjoyed
listening to gospel music, sewing, quilting and cooking.
The Revs. James Brown & Dick Crowley will conduct a funeral
service at 1 pm Wednesday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home
Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in
Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 am until time of service on
Wednesday at the funeral home. Mary will be laid to rest next to
her husband at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
