Margret Ellen Veale age 88 passed away Monday evening, November 8, 2010 at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus. She was a former resident of Indianapolis.

Margret was born July 11, 1922 in Brown County to the late Earle Jacob and Elsie Fern (Scaggs) Veale. She was a 1940 graduate of Helmsburg High School in Brown County and went on to serve her country as a Pharmacist Mate Third Class with the United States Navy WAVES, during World War II.

Margret retired in 1981 from the Capsule Sorting Department of Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis after 30 years of service. She attended the West Morris Street Free Methodist Church in Indianapolis and was a member of the Christian Women's Club - "After 5" group. Margret also belonged to the Organic Gardening Association and Indianapolis Hiking Club. She served in the White Cross Guild (Triple E) of Methodist Hospital for over 50 years and enjoyed serving the Lord and gardening.

Margret is survived by five nieces: Helen Denney Hiebsch of Columbus, Barbara Robertson Jensen of Canada, Nina Robertson Black of California, Christina Robertson & Linda Robertson both of Kansas City, KS; five nephews: Deryl Denney of Shelbyville, Charles Denney of Columbus, Arthur Robertson II of Canada, Jerry Robertson & John Robertson both of Kansas City, KS.

She was preceded in death by three sisters: Helen Ruth Veale Denney, Leversa May Veale Robertson & Elsie Antoinette Veale.

The Rev. Mike Conkle will conduct a Celebration of Life Service 2 pm Saturday at the West Morris Street Free Methodist Church, 2302 West Morris Street in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 1 pm until service time at the church. Inurnment will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Margret to the Donor's Choice.
