Lillian Lois (Wilson) Popplewell, age 81, passed away peacefully Friday morning, October 28, 2011 at Morning Pointe in Franklin.  She was a resident of Franklin.

Lois was born March 2, 1930 in Russell Springs, Kentucky to the late Arnie and Effie (Johnson) Wilson.  She married Ocus D. Popplewell on August 17, 1946 in Russell Spings, KY.  He survives after 65 years of marriage.

Lois was the loving mother and homemaker to her daughter:  Lillian Ann (husband, David) Pogue of Nineveh and sons:  Olis D. (wife, Janice) Popplewell & Mackel "Mack" (wife, Carla) Popplewell both of Trafalgar.  She will be missed by her three brothers:  Arnie (wife, Betty) Wilson of Franklin, John D. (wife, Daphine) Wilson & Elvin (wife, Gail) Wilson both of Russell Springs, Kentucky; Eight Grandchildren and Sixteen Great Grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by two daughters:  Karen M. Baird & Deborah L. Popplewell; a son:  Jonathan "JD" Popplewell; one sister:  Wilma Snyder and three brothers:  Milburn, Ralph & Arvin Wilson.

She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker that enjoyed spending time with her family.  Lois was not only a member, but a former Sunday School teacher and Youth Leader at the Franklin Seperate Baptist Church.  She found great pleasure working in her flower and vegetable gardens, enjoyed fishing and was an avid bird watcher.

A 10:00 am funeral service will be conduct by Rev. Homer Whited at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home on Monday, October 31st.  Friends may call from 2:00 pm  - 6:00 pm at the funeral home on Sunday, October 30th.  Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.

Memorial Contribution may be made in honor of Lillian to the Alzheimer's Association, 9135 North Meridian Street, Suite B-4, Indianapolis, IN 46209
