Lavon R. (Eubanks) Parks - Lawson, age 80 passed
away Wednesday afternoon, January 18, 2012 at Community Hospital
South in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Greenwood and
former resident of Peoga. Surrounded by her loving children, Lavon
left this life to go home to the Lord, whom she had devoted her
entire life to serving.
She was born February 13, 1931 in Indianapolis to
the late Oscar Lee & Daisy Naomi Eubanks. Lavon was a 1948
graduate of Ben Davis High School. She married Paul Parks on
October 7, 1947 in Indianapolis and he preceded her in death on
October 15, 1977.
Lavon was the loving mother to Sandy Kay (husband,
Steve) Biddle of Franklin, Jerry (wife, Debbie)
Parks of Carbon & Kevin D. (wife, Tina) Parks of Morgantown.
She will be remembered by her sister: Norma Maynard of Phoenix, AZ
and her ten grandchildren & twelve great
grandchildren.
Lavon was preceded in death by a granddaughter:
Rebecca Biddle and her second husband: Edward Lawson.
She retired in 1996 as a Tool & Die Worker
with PR Mallory & Co. inIndianapolisafter 48 years of service.
Lavon was a member of the Shelby St. Pentecostal Lighthouse Church
in Indianapolis for the past fifteen years and was a forty year
member of the Locust Grove Pentecostal Church in Brown County.
Lavon enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing &
knitting. She loved to be around her friends & family and going
out to eat. Her life was dedicated to her family, going to church
and helping others.
The Revs. Carlos Burdine & Wayne Grace will
conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the Shelby
Street Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, 8620 S. Shelby Street in
Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday
at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization
Center,179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Lavon will be laid to
rest at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.

Lavon to the Shelby St. Pentecostal Church, 8620 S. Shelby St.
Indianapolis, IN 46227.
