Laura Grace (Eastridge) Walker, age 85 passed away Monday, March
7, 2011 at her residence in Nashville.
She was born May 16, 1925, in Ash County, NC, to the late David L.
and Sarah Florene Eastridge. Laura married Lloyd C. Walker on April
24, 1941 in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on May 1994
after 53 loving years.
Laura was a member of the Neighborhood Church of God. She and her
husband owned and operated the Happy Valley Food Market in Travelac
during the 1970's. Laura worked for RCA in Indianapolis from 1957
to 1968 and Henderson Nursing Home in Morgantown from 1981 to
1989.
She was the loving mother to son: Rick Walker of Nashville. Laura
will be missed by her several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Sarah Calahan &
Blanche Eastridge and seven brothers: Claude Eastridge, O'Dell
Eastridge, Raymond Eastridge, Luther Eastridge, Emmett Eastridge,
Johnny Eastridge & Eugene Eastridge.
The Rev. Sam Harrington will conduct a funeral service at 1:00 pm,
Friday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home, 179 E. Mulberry Street,
Morgantown. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of
service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn
Memory Gardens Greenwood.
