Kevin L. Van Winkle, age 59 passed away Monday
evening October 10, 2011 at Community Hospital South in
Indianapolis. He was a life-long resident of Morgantown. By his
side, was his loving wife of 39 years, Susannah and two sons:
Matthew & Daniel.
Kevin was bornMay 17, 1952 in Indianapolis
to the late Carl H. and Alice M. (Hickman) Van Winkle. He was a
1971 graduate of Indian Creek High School and went on to receive an
Associates Degree in HVAC from Lincoln Tech College in 1972. Kevin
married Susannah C. Miller on June 16, 1972 at the First Christian
Church of Morgantown. She survives.
Other survivors include his two sons:
Matthew S. (wife, Jessica) Van Winkle of Franklin & Daniel L.
Van Winkle of Columbus and a granddaughter: Alexis. He will be
remembered by his four brothers: Bruce (wife, Jean) Van Winkle of
Morgantown, Ross L. Van Winkle of Tonopah, NV, Wayne D. (wife,
Judy) Van Winkle of Morgantown and Keith E. Van Winkle of
Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
Kevin retired in 2001, after 18 years as the
owner and operator of several Mr. Video and Karma Record Stores.
Prior to that, he worked at Roadway Express as a Teamster.
Kevin enjoyed working hard and spending time
with his family and his cat "Twinkle Toes". He loved to play his
guitar and sing. Kevin also enjoyed playing cards, fishing,
shooting pool and watching movies, especially Sci-Fi movies.

Celebration of Kevin's life, 2:00 pm Saturday at Meredith -Clark
Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E.
Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 10 am till
time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
