Kenneth R. "Kenny" Burdine, age 63 passed away Tuesday afternoon
surrounded by his loving family on May 10, 2011 at his residence in
Trafalgar.
He was born October 23, 1947 in Stanford, KY to the late Bennie B.
& Lucille B. (DeBord) Burdine. He married Deana S. Roller on
June 10, 1993 in Franklin. She lovingly survives after 17 years of
marriage.
Kenny is also survived by a daughter: Kristina Butler of Athens,
GA; two step-daughters: Michelle Fleener & Amy Satter both of
Trafalgar; one sister: Sue Feeback of Martinsville; 3
grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 1 step great
grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Wilma Moore and one brother:
William F. "Frankie" Burdine.
Kenny was a 1966 graduate of Danville High School and went on to
serve as a SP-4 with the United State Army. After returning from
the service, he was the co-owner & operator of Hickman Trailer
Sales in Morgantown during the 1970's. He also worked at HOWCO
Truck Caps in Whiteland during that time and served as the
President of Indiana RV Manufacturing Association. Kenny has been
the owner and operator of B & H Auto in Trafalgar for the past
25 years.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 233 in Edinburgh. Kenny
enjoyed buying & driving old cars, collecting guns and knifes,
visiting flea markets and traveling with his wife. He was a fan of
the Indianapolis Colts and NASCAR with his favorite driver being
Jeff Gordon. Kenny loved his family and cherished the time spent
with his grandchildren.
The Rev. Ed Tharpe will conduct a funeral service 10:30 am Friday
at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization
Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4
to 8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Youngs
Creek Cemetery with military graveside rites will be presented by
the Brown County American Legion & Veterans of Foreign Wars
Honor Guards.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Kenny to Americare
