Kenneth F. Tungate age 90 passed away Friday morning, November
26, 2010 at The Waters of Martinsville. He was a resident of
Lobelville, TN and former resident of Indianapolis.
Kenneth was born July 19, 1920 in Marion County, KY to the late
Waife & Bell (Garrett) Tungate.
He served his country as a Tech 5 with the United States Army
during World War II. He received one Bronze Star and the Good
Conduct Ribbon while serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.
Kenneth retired in 1982 as a Foreman with the International
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Indianapolis. He loved the
outdoors, fishing and gardening. Kenneth enjoyed spending his time
boating on the Tennessee River and Lake Cumberland.
He was the loving father of Kenna Shaw and her husband David of
Morgantown; a brother to Orleen Bullock of Franklin, Jean Scholl of
Russell Springs, KY and Larry Tungate of Acton. Kenneth was the
papaw to Mary Skinner of Centerville, TN, David Shaw II &
Francie Hubbard both of Morgantown; great papaw to Destiney Skinner
of Centerville, TN, Phillip Dale Hubbard III & Jackie Hubbard
both of Morgantown.
