Johnny E. Swafford age 44 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday
morning, June 9, 2011 after a motorcycle accident. He was a
resident of Franklin.
He was born December 6, 1966 in Franklin to Rev. Bobby &
Rosetta (Hobbs) Swafford. Johnny attended school in Brown County
and was a member of Blue River Church Separate Baptist
Church.
He is survived by his loving mother: Rosetta Swafford of Franklin,
two daughters: Elizabeth Elaine (husband, Joshua) Billeaudeaux of
Franklin & Victoria Rose Swafford of Indianapolis. Johnny was
the brother to: Juanita (husband, Ronnie) Bowles and Patricia Hogue
both of Franklin & Ronald (wife, Natalie) Swafford of Brown
County. He was grandpa to Kailey Grace Billeaudeaux. Johnny will be
remembered by his long time companion: LaLeaka Swafford of
Indianapolis and his nieces and nephews: Brandy & Jacob Hogue,
Alisha, Bobby & Evan Savage and Christopher Bowles.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father: Rev. Bobby Swafford,
one brother: Jimmy Swafford and a brother in law: Ricky
Hogue.
He was a 25 year member of the International Union of Operating
Engineers Local 103 in Indianapolis. Johnny retired as a
Superintendent for Gradex Construction in Indianapolis and prior to
that worked for Central Engineering in Indianapolis for many
years.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing golf and was a fan of
NASCAR. He loved spending time with his daughters and especially
his new granddaughter: Kailey Grace.
The Rev. Jarrod Becknell will conduct a funeral service 2 pm Monday
at Britton Funeral Home, 27 Old US 421 in Manchester, KY. Friends
may call from 2 to 8 pm on Saturday at Meredith - Clark Funeral
Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry
Street, in Morgantown and from 11:00 am till service time on Monday
at Britton Funeral Home. Interment will be at Swafford's Branch
Family Cemetery.
