John N. Hall age 67 passed away peacefully Tuesday morning,
September 14, 2010 at his sister's home in Edinburgh. He was a
resident of Freetown. By his side was his loving wife of 12 years,
Rose M. (Mathena) Hall whom he married in Las Vegas, NV on October
15, 1997.
John was born November 8, 1942 in Brown County to the late Lloyd D.
and Amy E. (Thompson) Hall. He was a 1961 graduate of Trafalgar
High School and was a member of the Samaria Christian Church. John
went on to serve for 20 years with the United States Air Force,
serving in Thailand and Guam. He retired in 1986 as an Instructor
with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. John also was a retired
self-employed truck driver from 1995 to 2006.
He was the devoted father to Brian Hall and his wife, Charlotte of
Freetown, Starla Nordeen and her husband, Wes of Gwinn, MI, Tammy
Sudinsky and her husband, Mike of Dallas, TX, Amanda Noel &
Carlena Maki and her husband, David both of Gwinn, MI, Dale Hall,
and his wife Vicki of Ft. Worth, TX, Jeff Hall and his wife, Vicki
& Jim Hall both of Goose Creek, S.C. John will be remembered by
his sister: Rebecca J. Kean of Edinburgh and two brothers: Martin
D. Hall and his wife Darlene of Morgantown & William R. "Rocky"
Hall and his wife, Josephine of Trafalgar. He is also survived by
several grandchildren and nieces & nephews.
John was a very active member of the Edinburgh American Legion Post #233 and was an
avid golfer. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time
with family and friends.
The Rev. Ed Tharpe will conduct a Celebration of Life Service 11:00
a.m. Saturday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation &
Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends
may call from 10 am till service time at the funeral home on
Saturday. Military Rites will be presented by the Edinburgh
American Legion Honor Guard following the service on Saturday at
the funeral home.
