Jessie Bobbie (Smith) Adams, age 84 passed away
Thursday morning, February 2, 2012 at the Indiana Masonic Home in
Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin and former resident
of Trafalgar.
Jessie was born July 28, 1927 in Hazard, KY to the
late Tom and Ollie Mae (Collins) Smith. She married Herman
Louis Adams who preceded her in death on February 14, 1980.
Survivors include two sons: Frank "Ernie"
(Laura) Woodridge of Nineveh & William (Nancy) Adams of
Franklin; seven daughters: Sheila (Wayne) Grider of Trafalgar,
Glenda Hogan of Trafalgar, Rosemary Woodridge of Franklin, Teresa
(Mark) Moore of Whiteland, Brenda Langley of Martinsville,
Wilma (Donald) Gilbert of Franklin and Sherry (Tim) Franklin of
Danville; four sisters: Lillie Mae Brock of Trafalgar, Irene
Burchett of Kentucky and Edna Schrougham of Morgantown. She will be
remembered by her 24 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren & 5
great-great grandchildren that she loved dearly.
Jessie was preceded in death by a daughter:
Vanessa Dale Sharp; granddaughter: Wendy Lou Conner; sisters: Addie
Mae Smith, Ivie Kean, Willie Mae Smith & Phyllis Crafton;
brothers: Hubert John Henry Smith, Chester Seal & Lester
Smith.
She was a loving homemaker and worked at the
Garment Factory in Franklin during her younger years. Jessie
attended the Spearsville Wesylan Church in Brown County and enjoyed
working in her garden and taking care of children.
A family memorial gathering will be held at a
later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith -
Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center
inMorgantown.
