Iola Kay (Dillard) Andrews, age 78 passed away Thursday morning,
January 20, 2011 at the Franklin Meadows Nursing Home in Franklin.
She was a resident of Morgantown.
Iola was born April 18, 1932, in Lafayette, Tenn. to the late Paul
and Mollie (Lancaster) Dillard. She married Frank A. Andrews on
April 13, 1953 in Orleans. He preceded her in death on December 26,
2010 after 57 loving years.
Iola was the caring and devoted mother to her three sons: Harry
(wife Diane) Gill, Craig (wife Linda) Andrews both of Franklin
& Garry Andrews of Whiteland; She is also survived by a sister
Myrtle Love of Brown County and a brother Delmar (Norma) Dillard of
Peoga; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Iola was preceded in death a daughter: Kay Andrews; one son Ronnie
Gill; two sisters: Grace Elliott and Lizzie Balman and a brother:
James Dillard.
She retired in 1986 as a nurse's aid and cook at the Indiana
Masonic Home and the Franklin United Methodist Community both of
Franklin. Iola also was a very successful Avon Sales Rep. for more
than 25 years. She was of Baptist faith and loved spending time
with her family. Iola enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing and was a
fan of country music with Loretta Lynn being one of her favorite
singers.
The Rev. John Young will conduct a funeral service 10:30 am Monday
at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization
Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from
1 to 5 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nebo
Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
