Ida (Thompson) Kean, age 77 passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.  She was a resident of Trafalgar.

 She is survived her children: Rhoda (Cyrus) Miller of Jamestown KY, Ronda Lancaster of Trafalgar, Bridgette (Brian) Rogers of Morgantown and Scott Kean of Trafalgar. She will be remembered by her sister: Iva Lee Fulmer of Ft.Wayne; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

 Ida was born April 7, 1934 in Franklin to the late Barry Buckner & Mary Ann (Pierce) Thompson.     She married her best friend and loving husband of 58 years, Henry E. Kean on March 24, 1950 in Trafalgar.  He preceded her in death on October 18, 2008.

 Ida was also preceded in death by two sons: Bryan Kean on August 22, 2002 & Dayton Kean on August 14, 2011; nine siblings: Albert, Alfred & Dan Thompson, Ruby Ford, Nellie Higdon, Daisy Bridges, Rhoda Blackwell, Carolyn Seals & Ada Stephens.

 She was a devoted wife, cherished mother and homemaker who had a passion for caring for others, especially children. Ida enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren, reading her Bible daily and attended the First Christian Church ofMorgantown. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.

    Bridgette, I'm sorry to hear about your mother and brother passing. I know that they are with my mom resting with the Lord and that they are fine now. I've often wondered how you and your family are doing and apologize for not doing a better job of staying in touch with you.
