Gayle (Ayers) Watkins, age 76 passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010
at Brown County Health & Living Community in Nashville. She was
a resident of Brown County.
Gayle was born April 4, 1934 in Brown County to the late Donald and
Lenora (Wilkerson) Ayers. She married Jesse Watkins on February 14,
1983 in Hartsville, Tenn. He preceded her in death on August 27,
1987.
Survivors include two sons: Gary Lee Jackson & William Dean
Jackson both of Seymour; two daughters: Cindy Thompson of Seymour
& Jami Dawn McConnell of Nineveh; two brothers: Mickey Ayres of
Brown County & Scott Ayers of Jackson County; ten grandchildren
& eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother: Richard Ayers and a
grandson: William D. Jackson II.
Gayle was a 1952 graduate Brown County High School. She was a
loving mother and homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren and quilting. Gayle was an avid reader of mystery
novels and watching mystery movies. She loved caring for her dog
"Sugar".
There will be no funeral service. Meredith - Clark Funeral Home
Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown have been
entrusted with her arrangements.
