Emma Jane Suter - Kleeman, passed away peacefully on Thursday
afternoon, June 10, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Surrounded by her loving family, Emma left this life to go home to
be with the Lord, at age 67. Emma was a resident of
Morgantown.
She was the loving and devoted mother to: Kelly R. (husband, Brian)
Neal of Morgantown; grandma to: Kiley N. Neal & Daniel D. Neal
both of Morgantown. Emma will be remembered by her two sisters: Mae
Tuttle of South Carolina and Carol Killen of Portsmouth, OH; one
brother: Daniel Suter of Wheelersburg, OH and her long time
companion: Dale Reed of Nashville.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Ruth Dodge & Betty
Suter; and three brothers: Alan, Ned and Robert Suter.
Emma was born December 28, 1943 in Portsmouth, OH to the late
Robert R. and Kathryn H.
(McCarty) Suter. She was a 1961 graduate of Portsmouth High School
and was a member of the First Christian Church of Morgantown. She
also was a member of the Morgantown Senior Center, where she
enjoyed fellowship and playing cards.
Emma retired in 2005 from the Payment Processing Department of RCA
in Indianapolis after 28 years of service. She was an inspiration
to anyone who knew her and her greatest strength was in helping
others at a time of need. Emma enjoyed reading her Bible, fishing
and loved to cook for her family and was known for her famous
"Peanut Butter Fudge". She was a collector of "Tweety Bird"
memorabilia and loved spending time with her grandchildren and dog
"Blizzy".
The Rev. Jeff Johnson will conduct a graveside service on Tuesday,
June 14, 2011 at 1 pm at Scioto Burial Park Cemetery, 4757
McDermott Pond Creek Road in McDermott, Ohio. Funeral arrangements
have been entrusted to Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation
& Personalization Center in Morgantown.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Emma to the National
Christian Foundation, Fund ID #534518 "For Such As a Time as This",
PO Box 308 Morgantown, IN 46160. This fund is used to help children
and their family throughout the community.
