Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday and 9:30 – till the time of service on Saturday. Donnie will be laid to rest at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. |
Donald "Donnie" R. Hubbard, age 59 passed away peacefully with
his family and friends by his side Wednesday evening, August 4,
2010 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. He was a resident of
Trafalgar.
Donnie was born August 18, 1950, in Oneida, KY, to Odus and Hazel
Marie (Sizemore) Hubbard, they lovingly survive in Trafalgar. He
married his loving wife of 41 years, Connie J. Bay on October 4,
1968 in Brown County. She survives.
Donnie was a 1968 graduate of Brown County High School. He was
employed with Central Engineering Construction in Greenfield as a
Foreman. He retired in 2004 after 36 dedicated years of
service.
Donnie was a 38 year member of the International Union of Operating
Engineers Local 103 of Indianapolis, a life member of the
American Hunters Association and former member of the Brown County
Saddle Club. He also was a member of the Greasy Creek Pentecostal
Church.
Donnie enjoyed singing and playing his guitar, hunting and fishing.
He was a devoted husband & father and cherished the time spent
with family.
Donnie was the loving father of two daughters: Angela M. Shipley of
Bloomington & Amanda J. Hubbard of Trafalgar and two sons:
Michael E. Hubbard of Bloomington & Matthew D. Hubbard of
Trafalgar. He will be missed by his granddaughter: Donna Jo Hubbard
of Trafalgar; two sisters: Sandra Sue Buckler of Greenwood &
Melissa Ann Williams and her husband Jerry of Trafalgar and
brother: Douglas Hubbard of Greenwood.
Donnie was preceded in death by his sister: Darlene
Eisenmenger.
