Donald E. "Donnie" Patterson age 54 passed away Saturday afternoon, March 26, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Nashville.

Donnie was born July 30, 1956 in Franklin to the late Franklin C. & Bertha L. (Bowling) Patterson. He married Chena R. (Wilkerson) Patterson on October 16, 1976 in Morgantown. She preceded him in death on November 8, 2010.

Donnie is survived by his two children: Chena Megan Patterson and Fiancé James Kakavecos of Nashville and Joshua E. (wife, Emily) Patterson of Columbus; granddaughter: Chena Megan Patterson of Nashville. He will be remembered by his 5 sisters: Ola Patterson of Nashville, Evie S. Adams of Franklin, Patsy M. Derringer of Nineveh, Shirley L. Chittum of Clay City & Linda Patterson of Franklin; two brothers: James E. Patterson of Greenwood & David W. Patterson of Franklin; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter: Destine Elaine Patterson; two brothers: Bruce & Sherman Patterson.

Donnie worked for more than 30 years at Wilkerson Sawmill in Brown County. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, deer hunting and mushroom hunting. He was a collector of guns and knives.

There will be no funeral services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
