Chena R. (Wilkerson) Patterson, age 52 passed away Monday
evening, November 8, 2010 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
She was a resident of Brown County.
Chena was born October 7, 1958 in Franklin to the late Dale W.
& Barbara Alma (Roller) Wilkerson. She married her loving
husband of 34 years, Donald E. Patterson on October 16, 1976 in
Morgantown. He survives.
Chena was a 1976 graduate of Brown County High School and was a
member of the Neighborhood Church of God in Brown County. She
enjoyed reading mystery books, collecting antiques and was
known for her great cooking. Chena loved being outdoors, camping
and mushroom hunting. She loved spending time with her family and
especially her granddaughter: Madison.
Chena was a loving homemaker and mother to her daughter: Chena
Megan Patterson and Fiancé James Kakavecos of Nashville and her
son: Joshua E. Patterson and wife Emily of Columbus. She will be
missed by her two sisters: Barbara Mosley & June Wentworth and
her husband David all of Brown County and her three brothers:
Norman "Pete" Wilkerson, Kenneth Wilkerson & Robert Wilkerson
and wife Rose all of Brown County. She will be remembered by her
granddaughter: Chena Madison Kakavecos.
Chena was preceded in death by a daughter: Destin Elaine Patterson
and a sister: Teresa Wilkerson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 12:00 pm
Saturday at Neighborhood Church Of God, 7440 Sweetwater Trail in
Nineveh. Friends may call from 11:00 am until time of service at
the church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith -
Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in
Morgantown.
