Betty J. (Goad) Law age 79 passed away Friday afternoon, October
29, 2010 from an automobile accident in Trafalgar. She was a
resident of Edinburgh and former resident of Morgantown.
Betty was born June 1, 1931 in Holland, KY to the late Jim and
Nettie (Jones) Goad. She married Norman C. Law on March 6, 1948. He
preceded her in death after 57 loving years on January 19,
2005.
Betty is survived by her three sons: Randy G. Law and his wife,
Teresa of Edinburgh, Gary C. Law and his wife, Shirley of
Indianapolis & Keith A. Law and his wife, Janie of
Martinsville. She will be remembered by her two sisters: Brenda
Harris and Jonelle Oldham both of Greenwood; four brothers: Curtis
Goad & Wayne Goad both of Indianapolis, Robert Wayne Goad of
Tennessee & Jimmy Goad of Liberty, TN. She was a grandmother to
6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by one sister: Lucy Jones and one
granddaughter: Heather Faith Law.
She was a loving mother and homemaker. Betty was a member of the
Thompson Road Baptist Church in Indianapolis and former member of
the Fellowship Baptist Church in Trafalgar where she was a past
Sunday School Teacher. Betty enjoyed oil painting, making dolls and flower
arranging. She was an avid reader of frontier and pioneer books, a
fan of the Indiana Pacers and enjoyed feeding & watching her
hummingbirds.
The Rev. Anthony Slutz will conduct a funeral service at 2:30 pm
Tuesday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation &
Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown.
Friends may call from 12:30 until service time Tuesday at the
funeral home. Betty will be laid to rest next to her husband at
East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
