Barbara Ann (Dale) Lawrence age 73 passed away Sunday morning, November 14, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Trafalgar and former resident of Springdale, KS.

Barbara was born September 15, 1937 in Thorntown to the late Ora Lee and Lucille (Price) Dale. She married Floyd E. "Gene" Lawrence on December 29, 1979 at the Springdale Friends Church in Springdale, KS. Gene preceded her in death after 24 loving years on July 23, 2004.

Barbara was a 1955 graduate of Speedway High School in Indianapolis. She retired in 2000 as a Nurses Assistant from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Leavenworth, KS after 21 years of service. Barbara was a 25 year member of the Springdale Friends Church and a 20 year member of the Order of Eastern Star in McLouth, KS. She enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, shopping and was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs Football Team.

Barbara was the loving mother to one daughter: Sherly Ann (Gary) Crawford of Oskaloosa, KS and three sons: Dale Allen (Rhonda) Minear of Trafalgar, Kevin Eugene (Dyla) Lawrence of Springdale, KS & Keith Allen (Deana) Lawrence of Des Moines, IA. She will be remembered by her 12 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by one son: James Ora Lee Minear & granddaughter: Amy Minear.

A funeral service will be held 7 pm Thursday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 2 pm till service time Thursday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at McLouth Cemetery in McLouth, KS.
